Dan Larry Melton

He was a devoted husband to his wife of 61 years, a good man, a deacon and long time member of East Gardendale Baptist Church and a retiree of Jefferson County General Services. He was a loving and caring father and grandfather whose presence and influence will be missed by all.

He is survived by two sons Robert ( Cindy) of Concord, Michael ( Jennifer) of Chelsea and four grandchildren, Christopher, Patty, Robert S and Hunter Melton and a sister Paula (Harvey ) Mobley of Clanton, a nephew Ronald Burgess of Birmingham and a niece Jennifer Hinton also of Birmingham.

He was preceded in death by his wife Sandra, an infant daughter, his parents Harvey Lee Melton and Bessie Marie Melton and two brothers Freddy and Rickey Melton.

Services for Dan will be held on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at Ridout's GArdendale Chapel with a time of visitation beginning at 10:00 AM; funeral service at 11:30 AM, followed by his burial at Ridout's Forest Crest Cemetery.
