Dale E. Richards

Dale Ellis Richards, 83, of Fultondale, AL passed away in the early morning hours of March 31, 2018 He was preceded in death by his parents, Miriam M. Quick, J.C. Richards, step-father Fred B. Quick and brother, Terry W. Quick. Dale is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Providence Salvagio Richards, daughter, Denise Richards, son, Robert Richards, sister, Freida Quick Wood, brothers, Douglas G. Richards and George B. Quick. Grandchildren, Jessica Martin, Victoria Hall and Jarrod Webb. Great Grandchildren, Summer Elnabras, R.J. Elnabras, Talon Hall, Alexis Martin, Noraleigh Webb and Avaleigh Webb .He was an active member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Homewood, Alabama. Dale served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1952-1956. He worked for 33 years at the City of Birmingham Housing Division and 20 years at H.U.D. He was an avid Bridge Player, being a member of two Bridges Clubs in Birmingham. Dale was a kind, caring and generous man. He had a great sense of humor and a wonderful outlook on life. He was always there to lend a hand and a joy to be around. Anyone who knew him loved him. He loved his family so very much and was deeply loved by them. Services will be Friday, April 6, 2018 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 9-11 am with a funeral Mass at 11:00 am. A meal will be served after Mass in the Parish Hall. Graveside services will be at 3pm at Oakwood Memorial Gardens, 2100 Moncrief Road, Gardendale, AL 35071. Phone number 631-6252.
