Cindy grew up in Killen, Al and graduated from Brooks High School in 1982. After high school, she moved to Charleston, SC. In 1986, she welcomed her first daughter, Julie. Cindy met the love of her life, Leonard, in July 1989 and they married October 21 of that same year. Together they had two children, Courtney and Alex. After her children started school, she enrolled at UAB and received her degree in social work in 2004. Cindy was a dedicated Alabama fan. She enjoyed nothing more than time spent in Tuscaloosa watching the Crimson Tide.
Cindy had a love for all crafts -wreathes, Christmas decorations, jewelry, crocheting- you name it. She even taught a craft class at Gardendale First Baptist, where she attended church. Cindy had a heart for the Lord like no other.
Cindy is survived by her husband, Leonard, daughter, Courtney (Brett) Busby, son, Alex Sanford and grandson Maddox Busby.Cindy is preceded in death by her parents, Jerry Arnold and Beth Duncan, and her daughter, Julie Crittenden.
