There are also many surviving inlaws, nephews, and nieces too numerous to mention who were dear to Charles and each held a special place in his life as did he in their lives also.
Charles spent a good deal of his professional life as a job shopper for US Government Aviation contracts, along with the US Postal Service and various other tool design companies but was never defined by these occupations.
To anyone who knew him, Charles was defined by his love and pursuit of God's Word and his gratitude for the saving Grace of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He left an example of encouragement and love for his family and friends to follow. If you knew Charles the first thing you remember is the wonderful welcoming smile he greeted you with. He was always truly glad to see you no matter who you were. He was very special to us and his departure leaves a huge hole in our lives; thankfully he lived to show us how to fill it.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Charles' memory may be made to Honoring American Veterans, Garysinisefoundation.org; Arthritis, Rheumatology, Auto Immune Research, Curearthritis.org; and North American Missions, AnnieArmstrong.com.
All the family would like to thank his daughter Jennifer and her husband Robbin for opening their home and being his primary care givers. Also a special thanks to the nurses, chaplain, and social worker from Oasis Hospice for the care given to Charles and the family the last month of his time with us.
