He was a founding member of Smokerise Baptist Church, where he served as a dedicated Deacon and Elder. His greatest joy was serving his Lord and Savior through his witness and proclamation of salvation through Christ and supporting missions and his church, together with his greatest devotion and lifetime care for the love of his life “Junie”.
In retirement, Ray enjoyed serving his church, Auburn football and all things Auburn, golf, bowling, vegetable and flower gardening, and crafting numerous bird houses and feeders for the many bird species he dearly loved., as well as enjoying his Koi pond and beautiful fish.
