November 6, 1967 – July 27, 2014
Charlie was a lifelong resident of Pinson, AL. He went to the Pinson Schools and he was raised in the Pinson Presbyterian Church, now Cahaba Springs Presbyterian. He loved the outdoors and activities such as gardening, walking and fishing. He loved his music and his cats. Charlie was a weekly volunteer at a local food and clothing bank, the Eastern Area Christian Ministries (EACM).
Charlie was preceded in death by his father Charles T. Bennett. He is survived by his mother Bonnie Bennett; a special aunt Joyce, his second mom , who loved and cared for him all his life, and him her; brothers Russell Winham and Trask Bennett; sisters, Myla Thomas (Charles) and Kandy Davis (Randy); nieces, Abigail Montgomery, Serena Thomas, Kaylee Oliver and Karlee Oliver.
Services will be held at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel on Thursday, July 31, 2014 with a visitation from 5:00pm until 7:00pm and a funeral service at 7:00pm. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations in his honor be made to the EACM, 8002 2nd Ave South, Birmingham, AL 35206.
