Carol Bailey Lance

Carol Lynn Bailey Lance went home to the Lord August 6th, 2017. Carol was born January 4, 1946 to Kathleen and Mack D. Bailey. Her disposition earned her the nickname “Sweetie” which she carried throughout her life. A graduate of Tarrant High School, she retired after 33 years on the Neurology floor of Carraway Methodist Medical center. Sweetie’s pride was as a breeder of Champion Doberman Pincers; a career spanning decades.

Preceded in death by her parents, Sweetie is survived by siblings Mack Bailey (Leigh) of Lillian, Mike Bailey (Darlene) of Crane Hill, and Shae Butts of Simonton, Texas. Nieces, Pamela White, Kim Drosche, Cindy McCarty, Kristi McCoy, Heather Wilkerson and nephew Kevin Bailey, along with many great nieces and nephews. Having no children Carol doted on her family, as well as her fur baby, Macky T.

Service to be held Thursday August 10th Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel, 2029 Decatur Hwy. Visitation 10:00 am and Funeral 11:00 am. Graveside burial to follow at Mt. Hebron Cemetery Leeds, Alabama where she will be laid in final rest beside her parents.
