Though she never had children of her own, she was a mother and friend to many.
Carla was preceded in death by her parents, Fulton Carl Rothell and Tommie Elizabeth Rothell. Her husband, Jim Cloum; her nephew, Shane Harper Hulsey and her sister, Billie Sue Hulsey.
She is survived by her nieces, Sierra Stiles (Jimmy) and Ashley Coutch (Shane) and her brother in law, Donald Hulsey.
Carla was graduate of UAB. She had a successful antique store in Bluff Park in the late 80s and She retired after 15 Years with Social Security. Carla was a lover of antiques and all things unique. She loved people. And she loved Jesus.
There will be a celebration of life on Saturday, October 12 at 2pm at HOPE Church in Gardendale. Pastor Steve Baccus officiating.
