Mrs. Barbara K. Rucker

RUCKER, BARBARA K. of Mt. Olive was born on November 2, 1942 and died on July 29, 2013. Barbara was Raised in Cullman, Alabama and attended Sacred Heart Catholic School and Business School. She made a career as a bookkeeper for several Birmingham businesses. She attended St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Adamsville, AL and was a member of the Ladies Auxillary and until her illness she was very involved in the church. Her hobbies were sewing, gardening and dancing. She loved to travel and she visited the gulf as much as possible. Most of all she enjoyed her children and grandchildren, they were her biggest enjoyments of life.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry & Essie Kramer. Survived by husband, Jerry H. Rucker; Sons: James D. Comer (Tina), Duane D. Rucker (Doreen); Daughters: Carole C. Smith, Krista R. Carroll (Brian), Monika Hutchison (Wayne), Angelika Kirkpatrick (Tommy); Sisters: Deloris K. Farris, Brenda K. Quick (Jerry), Karen K. Arrington (Stan); Grandchildren, William D. Smith, Carla M. Smith, Tina S. Newton (Adam), Brayden D. Carroll, Jacob R. Carroll, Steven E. Comer, Dixie B. Godette (Jon), Tommy L. Billings, Jamie L. Hutchison, J. Wayne Hutchison (Heather), T. Russell Kirkpatrick (Sarah), Robert A. Rucker ; and Great-Grandchildren, C. Blake Coker, Lily M. Godette, Braxton F. Godette.

Service will be Friday, August 2, Noon, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Adamsville, AL. Burial will follow at Morris-Kimberly Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, August 1 from 6-7 at the church with rosary service at 7.
