Barbara F. Malone

Barbara, of Moody, AL, passed away at her home Tuesday, after an extended illness at the age of 72. Barbara retired from the Tarrant City School System and she was a member of the Northpark Baptist Church and the Abundant Living Sunday School Class. Barbara enjoyed extensive travels with her loving husband of 51 years. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Malone; parents Robert and Ada Smith; brothers Major, Bobby, Clyde and Leslie Smith; sister Ruby Casey. Barbara is survived by her sons, Jeff Malone and Kevin Malone (Andrea); grandchildren, Emily Malone and Wyatt Malone; brothers, Home and Harold Smith; sister, Gracie Bailey; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the nurses and caregivers from AlaCare Hospice along with her dedicated personal and loving caregivers. A visitation will be held at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel on Friday, October 30, from 10:00 am until 11:00 am with funeral services at 11:00 am. Entombment will follow in Oakwood Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
