Allen Johnson Ross II

Allen Johnson “Johnny” Ross II, age 61 of Gardendale passed away Saturday, September 14th, 2013. Johnny was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He was very much loved and will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents, Allen Johnson Ross, Sr. and Myrtice Colley Ross; daughters, Tracy Dawn Baker and Terri Sherri Jones; and a sister, Peggy Braswell (Ricky). Johnny is survived by his loving family, his wife of 35 years, Barbara Diane Ross; a son, Christopher Allen Ross (Renae); daughters, Devin Michelle Pouchert and Brittany Loren Ross; sisters, Betty Jean Carpenter, Louise Harris, and Barbara Dearmond; grandchildren, Ashley Nichole Carter, Kevin Wayne Carter, Hannah Danielle Faile, Cody Braxton Faile, Charles John Pouchert III, Brooklynn Grace Pouchert, and Landon Christopher Ross; great grandchildren, Logan Zachary Myers and Ava Rose Carter.

Johnny was a member of Berney Points Baptist Church and a member of the American Legion in Tarrant. He was employed with ACIPCO for over 20 years. Johnny claimed to be THE Number 1 Alabama football fan in the world and the family asks that all friends join them wearing your BAMA shirts to his service. Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 19th at 3 PM from Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Oakwood Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Ty Dodson will officiate services.
