Alice M. Bradford Gray was born January 1, 1925 and died at the age of 87 on January 18, 2012. She was preceded in death by her parents Fred and Beulah Bradford; brothers Ernest and Eunice all of Hanceville; a sister Beulah Boyette of Meridian; husbands Galveston "Buddy" Wildmon a WW II survivor and W. D. Gray of Birmingham. Survivors include her son Terry Wayne Gray who has cared for her during her lengthy illness; a step mother Elma Bradford of Hanceville Nursing Home; sister Nellie Simpson; brother Claude (Dot) Bradford of Tampa; grandchildren: Terry (Kristi) Gray, Jr. and Rebekah (Ben) Standridge; great grandchildren: Cooper, Tanner, Mary Caroline Gray, Gabriel Standridge, Austin and Emily Hall. Alice was a member of Gardendale First Baptist Church and a homebound member of the Welcome Sunday School class. Graduate of Hanceville High School. She worked at Southern Bell, Bogue's Restaurant, Gold Nugget and Jimbo's. One of her many talents was crocheting and making quilts for family. She won a first place award by North Arts Council of Gardendale for her exceptional talents. She was loved by all who knew her. Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 21, 2012 at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel with entombment in Elmwood Cemetery Mausoleum. The family will receive friends Saturday from 12:30 p.m. until service time. Arrangements under the direction of Ridout's Gardendale Chapel, Gardendale, AL.
