Myron attended Huntington Park High School. He served in the US Army from 1946 to 1948 which brought him to Germany and other parts of Europe. (He actually enlisted at 16, earlier than allowed, by changing his birthdate because he felt driven to join the army efforts). He served again from 1948 to 1952 and those years brought him to Korea and Japan. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. As a platoon sergeant in tanks, one of the last tanks he commanded was the M36. He performed many exciting duties in the army, even spending some time training army canines.
Serving in the US Army definitely fueled his love for far away places and traveling. He traveled the world with his lovely wife Mary Virginia, visiting all seven continents together (yes, even Antarctica) during their 51 years of marriage before she passed away in 2014. He had so many adventures and had seen so many things.
He worked for the Southern California Gas Company for 30 years.
He is survived by his three children, seven grandchildren, several great grandchildren and even some great-great grandchildren. He is missed greatly.
