He graduated from Artesia High School and then went on to a trade school for transmissions, where he earned a certificate.
Larry married Sandra, his wife of 48 years. They celebrated their 48th anniversary on September 4, 2024.
Larry held many jobs prior to starting his own business in landscape. He eventually started working at The City of Cerritos in the city’s park maintenance department. He worked at the City of Cerritos for 24 years.
Larry had one daughter, Cynthia Elizabeth who was born in December of 1972. One of Larry’s favorite things to do was bring home dogs that he had found abandoned in the parks he was working at. He and Sandy always gave them a loving home. He leaves behind, his Australian Shephard, Marika.
Larry was a family man. He was always there for his family and enjoyed baseball, football and softball. He loved family gatherings and he loved to be surrounded by family.
Larry’s interests were working out in his garage and also working on his 72 El Camino. Near the end, he wasn’t driving so much, but he enjoyed going on a cruise in the El Camino with his son in law Larry.
Larry was loyal, proud, loving and caring.
Larry was preceded in death by his mother, father and brother Danny.
Larry leaves behind his wife Sandy, his only daughter Cyndi and his grandchildren Alyssa Gower and Robert Taylor
