Jonadab Humberto Portillo

Jonadab Humberto Portillo, age 61, of Garden Grove, California passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2023. Jonadab was born in El Salvador on March 25, 1961 to Juan and Rosario. He attended Instituto Nacional Thomas Jefferson where he earned his high school diploma and his AA diploma in Accounting. Jonadab was an honest and hardworking man who took pride in everything that he did. Throughout his life he worked in different fields and held many different positions such as being an accountant, a store clerk and working as a mason. Although he worked hard, Jonadab led an easy going life, preferring to see the good and joy of life. He enjoyed salsa music and loved the sound of laughter. He had a kind heart, was a loyal friend and family member and was always willing to help others. Most of all, he loved his family and friends and was always interested in listening to their personal stories. He had many interests in life such as his love for all different kinds of sports, but his favorite thing to do was to visit and spend time with family. He made it a point to visit El Salvador every year to keep in touch with his family and to make lasting memories with those he could not see often. In November of 2022, he made a trip to El Salvador and returned January 17th, 2023—this would be his last goodbye trip.

A memorial service for Jonadab will be held Saturday, April 22, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Dimond & Shannon Mortuary, 10630 Chapman Ave, Garden Grove, CA 92840.
