He was preceded in death by his father Gerald, his mother Violet, and by just a few days his sister Rosemari Anderson.
Raised in Minnesota by his father Gerald and stepmother Dorothy Jerry worked hard to help the family make ends meet. He parted ways with that half of his family late in high school to go spend time with his mother and younger siblings on the west coast. After graduating Jerry joined the Air force and was stationed at Williams Air Force Base in Arizona. Here he met the woman who would go on to be the mother of his six children. He moved back to California where he would eventually meet the love of his life and wife of 49 years, Marilyn.
Jerry had several jobs, trades and hobbies. He worked in several different industries throughout the years including being the inventor of many successful inventions, but primarily was a master mechanic of one kind or another.
Jerry and Marilyn’s Halloween and Fourth of July parties were legendary and attended by several family and friends for many years. They loved entertaining and enjoyed a very social life that established friendships that lasted decades and some being for life.
The two enjoyed traveling to Minnesota every summer for many years by way of the second love of his life, his Piper Comanche. Jerry loved hunting, scuba diving, fast cars, old cars, guns of all kinds, machinery, but above all else he loved being a pilot and seemed happiest in the air.
