Jacqueline Claire Ruppel was born in Aurora, Illinois on March 5, 1936 and passed away on August 3, 2014. She was preceded in death by her dad and mom, Roy and Elizabeth Walt, and her brother Richard.
At the age of 18 Jackie married Verner C. Kiser and started her family. In 1961 they packed up all four kids; two sons and two daughters, and moved to California. They bought a home in Garden Grove, where she had lived ever since. In 1970 she married Jerry Ruppel and gave birth to another son and daughter.
Jacqueline or as many called her Jackie worked in various positions within the medical field. Starting as a nurse’s aide and then getting her RN license after the age of 40. Jackie had recently retired after working as a case manager for different hospitals in Orange County.
Traveling was a big part of her life, she also loved to read. Most of all, she cherished spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Not to mention the countless of friends who have shared in calling her mom, grandma and even great grandma. Her heart was full of love to give and that she did.
Our greatest reward was knowing her. It is safe to say she never judged you, always welcomed you and without hesitation would be there for you. She really was "one of a kind". Nothing in the world could ever replace the time we were blessed to spend with her. Jackie's love will be forever appreciated and remembered.
A funeral mass will be held in Jacqueline's honor on Friday, August 8, 2014 at 10:00 AM at St. Columban Catholic Church 10801 Stanford Ave., Garden Grove, CA 92840
Arrangements under the direction of Dimond & Shannon Mortuary, Garden Grove, CA.
