Harold grew up in Duluth, Minnesota with his two brother's George and Jim. He later joined the US Air Force where he met his wife Barbara. This is where he got his nickname "Burgie". Harold and Barbara then moved to California, where they raised their 3 children and became members of St. Columban’s Catholic Church. Harold spent over 25 years serving his community and helping people in need. After the passing of his wife Barbara, Harold later married Judy. Together they traveled the world and devoted their lives to feeding the homeless. Harold enjoyed traveling, hunting and fishing, going to the casino, playing his sudoku book and most of all spending time with family.
Harold leaves behind his three children Phillip Burgraff, David Burgraff, Kathy Leonard and step daughters Lois Scott and Jenny Godley Rieck. He also leaves behind his brother George Burgraff and grandchildren Kaylee Leonard and Noah Burgraff.
