I am writing well over a year after Dra. Peralta’s funeral, I have tried to find her online with no success. I was truly saddened to hear of her passing. I received my Spanish degree from Cal-State, and Dra. Peralta had a lot to do with my success. My relationship was teacher-student. I loved her lectures and she proved to be more than that. I suffer from bi-polar affective disorder. One of those quarters that I had a class with her, I had an episode that quarter and she came to visit me in the hospital! No other teacher would have done that. My husband also met her. He really liked her, sadly he passed away in January of  this year. I have to say that I loved Dra Peralta, she was a very special person. My wish is that Michael (my husband) and my beloved teacher have found each other. May they both be wrapped in the Lord’s loving arms. I am so so sorry for your loss. Les acompaño en su pear.

Doy gracias a Dios que fuiste mi amiga del alma.  Cuantos anos pasamos juntas!  Cuantas alegrias y tristezas compartimos!  Cuanto te quise y te quiero!  Desde que nos conocimos siempre estuviste en mi corazon, Elba querida.  Ruego a Dios que te tenga en sus divinos brazos y te colme de todo lo que tu corazon desea.

I'll miss our 2 hour phone visits where you always understood and supported me , where we just talked for fun.   And,  the many times we discussed current affairs and world problems, to which I think we both agreed , by the end of the phone call,  that we had solved all of them.  I will miss being called Ginita, which added a bit of flair to my name.  You always had a smile, always wanted to help,  always put love of family above all and that's where we had our bond.

Tu sonrisa, tu amabilidad y energia siempre iluminaba un cuarto cuando entrabas.  El amor por tu familia y amigos siempre sera recordado por quienes te conocieron.  Gracias por toda la felicidad que trajiste a nuestra familia.  Descanse en paz en el glorioso reino de Dios.

Dearest "Bita":    You were such a kind, generous and spirited soul.  You  were and will continue to be loved by so many.   I was honored to have known you.  May you rest in peace and comfort in heaven with those you love who have gone before you.  

What a beautiful lady inside and out! I loved hearing Elba talk about her life and her family. We got to know one another from Bible study at St. Columban and would drive there together as we lived pretty close to each other. She was so distinguished & elegant, generous & very personable - always interested in others. Her love for & trust in Jesus was plain to see. I will look back fondly on the times I was in her company. May she rest in peace. 

Elba, Dios te tenga en la gloria. Fuiste una roca en la que se asentó tu familia y nos recibiste a todos en tu casa, a veces por largos períodos, pero siempre alegre y compartiendo todo lo que tenían. Una verdadera Torre y Piedra Alta  (Torre: Torres; Petra Alta: Peralta)  que nos guiaba desde las alturas de su sabiduría y gran corazón !!!!! Osvaldo Peralta 

Elba nos visitaba y le mostrábamos paisajes. No venía a ver sólo paisajes geográficos. Le interesaban los paisajes de las personas. Era el centro de las reuniones, pero encontraba la oportunidad de hablar con cada uno. Siempre estimulando, descubriendo tesoros que no sospechábamos. Quedaron temas para tratar. Esos temas nos siguen alimentando. De una manera que desconocemos, el diálogo continúa

Querida mamita de mi corazón ,hoy ase ya 10 días que no estas con nosotros, te extrañamos, la casa está callada con tu ausencia, pero se que estas con tu familia en los cielos y eso me pone muy feliz, al saber que ya no sufres más, y que fuiste a los brazos del Padre. Nunca te  olvidaremos... Nory 

Mom, thank you for 63 years of wonderful times together, thank you for teaching me right from wrong. Teaching me patience,  teaching me to be kind to others, I will never, ever,  have the right words to thank you enough. Your always looking forward to seeing and taking on the next challenge. You are now with the lord, and your family. There is no more suffering. You will be missed and in the hearts of many. I love you then, now and forever. 

Christmas Eves were always the best time of the year with her.  From Mass to spending time with family after for the rest of the night. I will always cherish these memories of her.  

Querida Elba!! Con todo cariño rezamos por vos para que Dios te tenga en su gloria! Siempre te recordaremos y te llevaremos en nuestro corazón!! Liliana y Majojo

Elba fue la tía abuela de mí papá y mis tíos paternos. La conocí en el año de 1996/97 cuando vino a Argentina, no recuerdo muy bien el año pero si recuerdo que fue amor a primera vista. Recuerdo que ese viaje, nos quería cocinar su plato de torta de zanahoria y nos mandó a mí hermana y a mí a comprar zanahorias. Cuando digimos la cantidad que necesitábamos se nos reieron. En ese primer viaje le hice una promesa que fue: Tía Elba, no se cuánto tiempo me tardaré pero yo te iré a visitar a tu casa en California. Pasaron viajes más y nuevas anécdotas. En el año 2012 pude cumplir mí promesa y pude ir para su amada casa en California y me hizo un hermoso regalo que recuerdo muy bien lo que me dijo: al ver sus cosas vi un CD de Elvis Presley (artista que soy fanático) y le dije: tía, no sabía que te gustaba Elvis y me dijo: eso es para un sobrino que es fana de Elvis y al verme me dijo: sos vos ese sobrino. Y me regaló libros de cine ya que yo estudié cine. Y partimos a Disneyland a comer a un restaurante de jazz. Siempre la recordaré con mucho amor y cariño, y a su familia también. Te ame, te amo y te amaré por siempre Elba querida.
