David Alvarez, 44, passed away on Wednesday, February 27th, 2013, after a brief illness. He is survived by his wife Amanda (Manke) Alvarez and his two daughters, Kaylee (12) and Aubree (6). David was born in Long Beach, CA, on October 20, 1968, and grew in Rossmoor, a tight knit residential community in Los Alamitos, CA. He attended Los Alamitos High School where he starred in many performing arts productions and graduated in 1987 in the first Orange County High School of the Arts class. As a teenager, David traveled the country performing with the Young Americans, an international song and dance troupe. He had a successful career as a television actor and model and then later formed his own web design business, Walk-In-Webstore, in Los Alamitos. David will be remembered for his generous heart, infectious smile and playful spirit. In addition to his wife and children, he is survived by his parents, Gill and Olga Alvarez, his brothers, Mark, Ronald, and Robert Alvarez, and his sisters Theresa Cruz and Patricia Turosz, as well as aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws and countless friends. Services will take place at on Saturday, March 9th at 12:30 pm at Calvary Chapel West Grove, 12832 Knott Ave., Garden Grove, CA 92840.
