Danny was born on April 19, 1952, to Delfin and Fortunata Garcia in Manila, Philippines. In March of 1963, Danny, along with his father and siblings, moved to Guam. While in Guam, Danny met his wife, Tomiko. In 1982, Danny and his family moved to California. By September 1982, Danny began his career with the Walt Disney Company, where he was known for his hard work and dedication to the one and only, Mickey Mouse. Danny retired from Disney in March of 2020, he would constantly joke, “I shut down Disney due to COVID.”
Danny was loved by everyone and anyone he encountered. He left an everlasting impression on everyone who had the pleasure of meeting him. When he wasn’t working, Danny could be found in two places: the kitchen and the horse track. The kitchen was where Danny worked his magic, let his troubles of the day escape him, and created some of the most delicious dishes that his family will forever miss. The horse track gave Danny the feeling of simple pleasures. Even in a loss, the horse track still made Danny feel like a winner.
Danny’s number 1 priority was his family. Danny continued to strive to be the best provider he could be, even through his final days.
Danny is survived by his wife, Tomiko; his children, Maria Teresa, Jan-Michael and Danilo Jr.; his grandchildren, Christina Marie, Christal Ann, Christopher Joseph, Michael Cameron and Aiden James; and his siblings, Priscilla, Rudy and Helen.
