Terrence "Terry" Leonard Carr

Terry was born in Appleton, WI on May 26, 1934. Soon after graduating from high school in Niagara, WI, he joined the U.S. Air Force which he made a career. Upon completion of basic training and technical school, he was assigned to the USAFSS, the communications security branch of the National Security Agency, (NSA). His career assignments took him numerous times to Europe and the Far East. He was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign wars and the American Legion.

Upon retiring from the Air Force, he became a contract worker for many aircraft companies including Fairchild, Northrop Grumman, Boeing, Pratt & Whitney, NASA and Gulfstream Aerospace.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur J. and Ann M. Carr and brother Robert.

Terry is survived by Phyllis McElhaney, his companion and “Guardian Angel”, children, Kathy, A.J. and Mark and his wife Elizabeth; brother, Richard; sister, JoAnn Smeester; sister-in-law, Irene Carr and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial Service will be held on Friday, February 22, 2013 at 3:30 p.m. at Fairhaven Funeral Home & Crematory.
