Our deepest condolences to the Kerr family. We had the privilege of having Zack as our representative for several years, and although he had moved to another position, we felt that we were gifted a true friend. Zack still called in on his ‘Miami family’ and always kept us abreast of the latest in the industry, as well as his family trips/vacations, and what his beloved nephews were up to. 
We shall miss his boisterous laugh, whether it was at a Show, a pig roast by the pool, or just hanging out at the Keys.

My family and I were so sad to hear of Zach’s passing.  Like so many others, I have numerous childhood memories and stories about Zach from school, football, and basketball. I was fortunate to have worked with Zach for many years at Sony even though I only met him a few times in person.  Over the years, we had too many conversations to count and they always started and ended with a smile and mutual respect.  Zach was kind, thoughtful, appreciative and a true gentleman.  

My husband and I send our deepest condolences to Zach's family, which he talked about frequently and was so happy to be near again.  He is in Heaven now watching over each of you.

I had the pleasure of working with Zach, off and on, for nearly his entire Sony career.  Even though it'd been years since he moved to a different group, we always hit the ground running when we'd be able to meet up as if we'd never missed a beat.  So many of the same interests, style of vibe and what's important.  This event in October of '23 was a treat for me, as that was four days of seeing Zach.   He famously had his cellphone lifted at that show.  Not only did he handle it better than most of us would have, he kept moving forward as there was work to be done at the show - whether it be at the booth, in the panel sessions, or the critically important networking events every evening (that's not sarcasm, that's business!).  Zach loved his company, his coworkers, and his clients - and it showed.   We all loved him right back.

This past February, while attending a company/vendor event in Jamaica, we got to bond with the top performers for the companies in attendance.  Zach was the perfect add (a recent assignment to join me), and we were able to enjoy a ton of time together.   So easy to talk to, and quick to make friends.   Always showing genuine interest and endlessly likeable.   Quite possibly the only Ohio State Buckeye fan in the universe that everyone liked.

Some of my favorite moments were to steal a quick meet for a drink with the guy (I live on the west coast and our paths didn't cross nearly enough).   This was prior to a collegiate sports conference in Atlanta in May 2018.   Always game for a good chat and laughs.  

I wish I could thank your parents for raising you to know (and appreciate) what's important.

My deepest condolences to your family.  We’ve known Zach for over 20 years and built a great friendship with him over that time.  Zach always had a way of lighting up a room and his laugh was contagious; he was one of the most genuine people I’ve ever known.  I always looked forward to our standing lunches every year at NAB, it gave us the time to catch up on each other’s lives and I cherished those times.  Even though we were no longer working together we made sure to always stay in touch; we would try and grab lunch when he was in town for meetings and would have virtual Happy Hours which were always full of laughter.  There are so many memories of having fun with Zach, one in particular stands out while at a sales conference in Miami when we packed as many people as possible in a cab and went out on the strip, the laughs that night were immeasurable.  I’m beyond privileged to have shared so many great times with him and will cherish those forever, but most of all I’m fortunate to have had him as such a great friend.

Whether seeing Zach in person, or his name pop up on your phone, you perked up knowing a smile or laugh was coming.  His impact was purely additive to all, and I'm so glad I was able to spend some extended quality time with him recently.  We are both huggers and there was plenty of that. While we are all crushed at your passing, you lived life right and cared deeply for the important things. RIP, my dear friend.

Mrs.Kerr and family,

Please accept my deepest condolences to your loss. Zach has been my great friend since I have  joined Sony Japan back in 2008, where we have met for the first time. I still remember the night we were on a small boat on the Tokyo harbor with our customers. We were debating what English nickname suits me, it's supposed to start with W as same with my Japanese birth name. It was then when Zach gave me my nickname "Wally" which he took from his grandpa Wallace. Ever since then, I have been living my life as Wally and everytime I've been asked the origin of my nickname I would tell the memory of the beautiful night. Zach's memory will continue live with my name. Thank you Zack and grandpa for helping me live easier life and you will be missed.

My deepest condolences to the Kerr family.  I was fortunate to have the opportunity to work with and get to know Zach these almost 4 years.  His energy and passion were contagious and lit up the room.  His passion and love of his family was something I always admired about him.  He always smiled when we talked about each of you. I only know you from afar, by way of Zach sharing so much about his beloved family.  I am deeply sorry for your loss. Zach was a good man who touched many lives.

When I first met Zach (at Capital) I remember thinking he was such a gentleman and his maturity always stood out to me. My husband has fond memories of him too, as they played football and were in KIL together.  As the years passed we kept in touch via Facebook and he always kept up on our family matters and asked about my husband's team, our children, etc. When our son committed to play baseball at OSU, Zach was one of the first people to reach out. Not only because of his love for the Buckeyes, but because he was genuinely happy for him. I won't forget that. 

Zach's memory will be  a blessing to all of us. We are praying for your peace and comfort in the days ahead.

Zach was one of those people who got along with everyone, no matter what their background was. I have great memories of him from high school - a kind soul and beautiful smile. I am deeply sorry to learn of your loss. He will be deeply missed.

I had the pleasure of working with Zach at Sony for many of his 20+ years. Zach was always a gentleman, with a warm and magnetic personality, and infectious laugh.  I have fond memories of 'teaching' him craps one night in Vegas while at NAB many years ago. As always, when you were with Zach, you had a lot of fun and a memorable time. I will always remember his great sense of humor, especially when I would bust his chops about his sweater vests. Zach was and always will be one of our most beloved Sony family members. Zach was a true friend to me and everyone at Sony. We are all struggling to understand this terrible tragedy. Zach was so smart, fun and made everyone he came in contact with feel valued and appreciated. Sincerest condolences to all of Zach's loved ones.  Sadly I've never had the privilege of meeting any of you.  Please know that Zach spoke fondly and often about you all.

I was a work associate of his but more importantly a friend.  Zach and I spoke often.  Usually at the end of the day where we would reflect on the day sharing our triumphs and our challenges.  Most of the time we just shared our lives with each other weather is was sport, love, family or fears we covered it all.  I will cherish those times.  In particular I want you all to know how absolutely happy Zach was to be back home with you all and close to his beloved Buckeye's (even though I am a Hawkeye fan).  I would listen to him doat on them often as well as his nephews.

He is missed by us all and will be remembered by me forever.
