Zachary Wayne Kerr, our charismatic and caring son, brother, uncle and friend passed away on April 12, 2024 at the age of 51.
He was born to Jerry and JoAnn Kerr in Columbus, OH on October 4, 1972. After graduating from London High School in 1991, Zach attended Capital University where he became a member of the KIL fraternity, the brotherhood he held so close to his heart. He dedicated over two decades of his life to Sony Electronics where he was employed as a national account manager.
We are thankful for the time we had with Zach who had an uncanny ability for making others feel loved, supported, and valued. He loved entertaining his customers, friends, and family and was often described as the life of the party. Zach loved his family. He enjoyed family vacations and dedicating his precious time to his nephews. Blessed with a contagious laugh, he lived his life with passion and fervor. A huge sports enthusiast, Zach collected memorabilia for all sports, but was especially devoted to The OSU Buckeyes (for whom he had season tickets) and the Dallas Cowboys. He loved skiing at Breckenridge and playing basketball, football, and baseball. Zach was also a bourbon enthusiast and was happy to share a drink with friends and family. Those in his Iron Warriors Motorcycle Club knew Zach as ‘Buckeye’, where he enjoyed riding his Harley. In support of his father’s military career, Zach was a proud lifetime member of the VFW.
Zach is preceded in passing by his father, Jerry Kerr; his maternal grandparents, Emery and Georgia Endicott; and his paternal grandparents, Wallace and Evelyn Kerr.
Left to cherish Zach’s memory are his mother, Jo Ann Kerr; sister Angela (Brent) Hemmert; beloved nephews Tyler (17) and Mason (13); and numerous aunts, uncles, and friends.
