Bill was a kind, gentle, faithful man with a great sense of humor and who never met a stranger. Bill retired from Ohio Bell/AT&T. He loved trains, collecting coins and sports, especially OSU Football, Men's and Women's Basketball, Cleveland Browns and Indians. Bill's favorite times were spent with friends and family, especially his granddaughter.
In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Martha (nee Cox) Peck, in 2020 and brother-in-laws, Roger Cox of Baytown Texas and Howard Cox of Huntsville Alabama. Together Bill and Martha worked for the Ohio State University as Red Coats at Ohio Stadium and the Schottenstein Center for almost 30 years. They enjoyed traveling, cruising the Caribbean and boating in the Lake Erie Islands.
Bill will be lovingly remembered by his son, Brent (Abby) Peck, granddaughter, Bridget Peck all of Blacklick, Ohio, sister Nancy (Jack) Clarke of Powell, Ohio, sister-in-laws Annette Cox of Huntsville, Alabama, Mary (Curtis), Dublin, Ohio, Caroline Ratcliff, Anchorage, Alaska and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
A gathering will be held for friends and family from 4-7pm on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST FUNERAL HOME, Gahanna. Pastor David Hoffman of Stonybrook United Methodist Church will be offering comforting words and prayer at 5pm. Casual dress is preferred by the family. In lieu of flowers, please hug your loved ones and make a donation to the charity of your choosing in memory of Bill.
