Wanda was born to Mack Lazar and Juanita (Bartoe) Lazar in Whitman, West Virginia on March 14, 1941. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Raymond Platte, with whom she shared 34 years of marriage. She graduated from Logan High School, Logan, West Virginia, in 1959. She worked as a secretary, accounts manager and office manager throughout her career.
She is survived by her two children: Suzanne (Platte) Beaky and her husband Matthew, of Huntingdon, Pennsylvania and Michael Platte and his wife Kelly, of New Albany, Ohio. Her grandchildren are Cassidy (Platte) Pewitt, Chloe Platte and Raymond Platte. She is survived by her brother Richard Lazar and sister-in-law Deborah of Danville, California, sister-in-law Ginny Lazar and preceded in death by her brother Mac Edward Lazar of Muncie, Indiana.
Wanda loved spending time with family and enjoyed gardening, playing games, decorating for the holidays - especially Christmas - and had a real talent for arranging flowers. She will be remembered for her fabulous sense of style, her generous spirit, her ability to laugh at herself, and her enormous love for her family.
