Terrance V. Springer, affectionately known as “Terry”, 67, of Columbus, OH, passed away on December 16, 2024 suddenly at his residence. He was born on August 27, 1957, in Laventille, Trinidad and Tobago. In 1967 he and his parents migrated to Baltimore MD in the United States. After completing his elementary, middle and high school education, he continued his studies and graduated from Howard University with a B.S. degree in Electrical and Computer Science in 1983. His career grew and matured while he worked for several major engineering companies such as IBM, AT&T, and Lucent Technologies. After 26 years of employment, he retired and pursued his dream of being self-employed as a real-estate investor and later as a day-trader. During this time, he volunteered with the Habitat for Humanity and sponsored 23 World Vision children to help achieve their educational goals and to adapt a high level of health and wellness lifestyle.
Terry will be fondly remembered for his kindness and passion for helping people in need at all times, for his skills in restoring and refurbishing old houses and converting them back to their original beauty. He was considered to be the “man with wisdom and knowledge on all subjects” and an advocate for all no matter the age. His presence will be deeply missed, but his legacy of love, kindness, hard work, and devotion will live on continually in the hearts of all who knew him.
He was an avid reader; his book of choice was the Bible.
His hobbies included but not limited to jogging, swimming, and especially vacationing in the Dominican Republic.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Vivian and Cornelia Springer, and his son Micah Springer.
Terry is survived by his former wife, Trevorline Springer; sons Konata and Aaron Springer; daughters Jenelle and Yasmin Reid; his loving grandchildren, Nevaeh, Micah and Aaron Springer; his sister Judy Charles; brother Kenny Springer along with niece Olivia Springer, nephew Jason Springer, plus numerous cousins, and friends.
To remember and celebrate Terry's life, visitation will be held on 30th, December 2024, from 10am-11am followed by Memorial Service at 11am at Schoedinger Northeast Funeral Home, 1051 E. Johnston Road, Gahanna, OH 43230. Interment is to follow at Mifflin Cemetery, Gahanna, 43230.
