Sharon Ann Steele

Sharon Ann Steele, age 74, formerly of Gahanna Ohio passed away on Monday, September 12, 2022 in Conneaut, Ohio. She was born in Columbus on April 28, 1948. She was a graduate of Central High School in Columbus where she was a member of the band and then a majorette.

Throughout her life, Sharon was a woman of deep faith. She and her late husband traveled all over the world on missions trips, building churches and sewing clothes. She loved music and was very involved with the church choir and various musical groups. She volunteered at Gahanna (Evangel) Christian Academy, Teen Challenge Columbus and Better Way Ministries. They were members of One Church (Evangel Temple) in Gahanna.

After moving to Conneaut, Ohio she was involved at First Assembly of God as the Adult Sunday school teacher. She will be remembered for her resilience by all who knew her and as a woman who modeled the love, grace and forgiveness she received from her Lord and savior, Jesus Christ.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd Kidwell and Frances (Gamble) Peck; her step-father Howard Peck; her loving husband Robin Lee Steele; her son, Michael Scott Steele; granddaughter Caitlin Hope Rudowicz and grandson, Samuel Lee Steele.

She will be deeply missed by her sons, John (Jennifer) Steele and Christopher (Sheila) Steele; daughter-in-law Kathy Steele; grandchildren, Johnathan (Karmen) Steele, Joshua Steele, Bradley Steele, Timothy Steele, Abigail Steele, Andrew Steele, Isaac Steele, David Steele, Daniel Steele, Matthew Steele and Aaron Steele; great-grandchildren, Olivia Steele and Levi Steele.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 23, 2022 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST FUNERAL HOME, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., from 4-7pm. A funeral service will be held the following morning, Saturday September 24, at 9:30am, Pastor Larry Bates officiating. Interment will follow at Obetz cemetery.
