Ronald F. Hartman, 93, of Westerville, Ohio, passed away peacefully on April 12, 2025. He was born on May 9, 1931, in Woodworth, Illinois, Ronald was the son of the late Walter and Adelia (Luecke) Hartman. He came from humble beginnings and always stayed true to his roots as a farmer at heart.
A proud veteran, Ronald served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. After his military service, he pursued higher education and earned his Juris Doctor from Capital University, and worked as an attorney for many years. He was a proud member of Mensa, scoring in the top 2% on his IQ test. His true passion was Tree Haven Campground in Westerville, which he owned and operated for 34 years. It was his happy place — he was always out mowing, digging, and working the land.
He is survived by his loving children: Ronnie (John) Fergus, Lorna (Bill) Miller, Randy (Jackie) Hartman, and Lynne (Nick) Rees; his grandchildren: Corey Fergus, Coby Hartman, Connor Sagness, Tucker Hartman, and Cassie Sagness; and four great-grandchildren.
