Today especially, I think of you feeling gutted with the thought of not being able to see you ever again, well, not in this life anyway.  I know you're not much for tears, but here they are anyway.  I will drink one day with all your loved ones left behind and mostly with your beloved boys and beautiful bride.  Until then, I will toast you on 28th June at a special dinner I'lll host in your honour to celebrate your life.  I will never forget you, it's actually impossible since I practice all you've taught me daily.  As always, Lia

Bob was special to many of us at Ross/Abbott Nutrition.   I was fortunate to work with/for him in the during his time with us at Ross.  He was a great mentor and friend.    He never once treated his female colleagues differently - this was the early 80’s so that says a lot great deal about his fine character.  He let us run with the ball and was our backup and coach.  I hope he practiced his Gordon Gekko performance at home with you all prior to leading us in a one of a kind team building session.   He embraced the part completely including the red suspenders and slicked back hair.  I sincerely hope someone has a picture from that.  
  
His belief in us was empowering and the stories he would share were memorable as were the many laughs. - Have to ask did he really work on our “Impact Objectives” on the beach during family vacations? 

He taught me a great deal on parenting too by sharing stories of the boys and I employed some of his tactics with my two kids. 

One of my most cherished memories was having  Bob and Cindi attend my wedding.   He is in a way some what responsible - in 1985 he put together a swat team with division  and plant personnel to address a really large project.  I was on it from Division along  an Engineer from the Sturgis plant, Chuck Mundy was drafted too- we married several years later.  When Chuck passed, the letter he wrote to me kept me centered and able to move forward.

A very special man that Bob Hooper.  My life has been better for having had that time with him.   Proud to say he was my friend

Papa Hooper was THE cool grandpa, all the trips to Florida to visit him and grandma, trying new sea food with him at nice restaurants, papa would always treat the family to a nice dinner, he loved to fish, ever since I was little I remember fishing with with him out back of his house, or papa taking my brother and I too the beach. When he would visit Ohio at high hills he would always wear a goofy hat with some high socks but that was my papa hooper.

 What I have learned and seen from my grandpa over the years is, listen to people, love your family, and be the best version of yourself, never be afraid to try something knew or fail he told me once, your path doesn’t have to be the same as everyone else’s but you have to work hard to move up in this world. 

Papa hooper may have passed away, but I know he will be with me forever when I pick up a fishing pole I’ll think of him when I’m ordering sea food or a big steak I’m going to think of papa, when I’m cooking eggs I’ll think of his “world famous eggs” , when I watch an Indian jones movie I’ll think of papa and his hats. 

Papa was a one of a kind man, he was a second father so my brother and I he knew when to have fun with us but would always talk about life and goals and what we wanted to do in the future.  Im happy and blessed to have had him as my grandpa

My condolences to   Bob's family.  I remember Bob as a classmate in Junior and Senior High School in NJ.  Our days growing up in North Brunswick bring back wonderful memories around the frozen pond in Colonial Gardens and our neighborhood antics.  I still remember him in his Italian knit shirts...Great Memories!

What a thrill to have organised this and to receive a heartfelt letter from him in return.  "Thank you for making me look good" is what he'd often say.  He made it so easy for me to be a 'tall poppy'.

Thank you for the guidance, love and support, thank you for it all”  
The world was most definitely a better place with you in it.

Bob's dedication to growth in both his knowledge and health will always remain with me. He approached therapy with wisdom and humor. He was always eager to share spirited stories of his family and career. I will miss him dearly. May his family be comforted with cherished memories during this difficult time.

So proud of my father.  He accomplished so much in his life.  I would feel lucky to experience half the things he did on his lifetime.

Papa and his grandson, Mitchell.  Mitch asked that both Papa and Grandma accompany him on the field for Senior Night.  Papa was thrilled to participate in the event.
