Patricia D. Biddle-Wilch passed away on Friday September 9, 2022 at The Smith’s Mill Health Campus. Pat was born in Columbus, Ohio on October 18, 1935 to Charles and Ruth Bush. She spent most of her life in Columbus, ultimately settling in Gahanna. Pat retired from Gahanna City Schools after 30 years of service. She was also retired from Rocky Fork Country Club after 10 years working as a waitress. Pat was a lively and adventurous lady who loved travelling to places such as Australia, Italy, Greece, Ireland, Alaska, Panama, Canada, plus her many excursions to Chattanooga, TN. She was also very stylish and is well known as the “lady in the hat” especially at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Columbus, where she was a longtime member. Pat loved watching sports, especially the Cleveland Browns and Guardians and Ohio State football. She kept active with the Red Hats Club and at the Gahanna Senior Center, where she was a champion WII bowling player and loved playing table tennis. And after all her adventures and activities, she’d settle in with a cup of tea and a good book.
Pat is preceded in death by her parents, loving first husband, Paul Biddle, her eldest daughter, Cynthia Auel, and only son, Timothy Biddle. She is survived by her husband, Andrew Wilch, her loving daughters, Candace(Merle) Clark and Tricia (Brian) Morris and daughter-in-law, Debbie Biddle; her grandchildren Brianne(Kris) Somar, Drew(Megan) Biddle, Allyson(Jordan Mount) Biddle, Joshua(Ally) Auel, Shelby(Wade) Branum, Gabrielle Morris, and Madison(Kieran) Kalbalka; and great-grand children Skylar Somar, Mason and Owen Biddle, Wyatt Nemec, Silas and Fitz Branum, and Michael and Delilah Auel.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Schoedinger Northeast, 1051 E. Johnstown Road, Gahanna, Ohio 43230. A graveside funeral service will take place the following morning at 11am at Green Lawn Cemetery.
