Mario Rodriguez

Mario Rodriguez, 33, of Columbus, OH entered the Gates of Heaven September 14th, 2022. He was born in Yonkers, NY on August 29th,1989 to Juanita Lynn Vazquez and Rafael Rodriguez Sr. He was raised in Cleveland, Ohio and graduated from Lincoln West high school, class of 2007.

Mario was a dedicated and loving father to his daughter Isabella. He gave Bella many memories to cherish for the rest of her life. The day that she was born, the moment he first saw her beautiful little face, was the best and happiest day of his life.

Mario was loved by many people and always left part of his amazing heart wherever he went, he enjoyed fishing, fixing up cars, going to Bible study, camping, and taking his daughter out places and going to the playground with her.

Mario started attending a home group Bible study about a year ago after meeting his good friend Calvin McCammon. In May of 2022, Mario felt he was missing something in his life. He went outside that night at Bible study and looked at the stars and asked God to forgive him and to help him start living a better life. Mario will always be remembered for his big heart, willingness to help others, his "big kid" personality, and the love he had for his family.

Mario will be greatly missed by his daughter Isabella Rodriguez; Mother, Juanita Vazquez; Father, Rafael Rodriguez Sr.; Brother, Rafael Rodriguez Jr.; Sister, Mya Rodriguez; Grandmother, Linda Timmerman; and many other family members and friends.

Visitation will take place on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 from 10am-11:30am at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST, 1051 East Johnstown Road, Gahanna, Ohio 43230. Mario's funeral service will take place immediately following the visitation. Services will conclude with interment at Maplewood Cemetery.
