She is preceded in passing by her beloved husband, Thomas D. Trapp; parents, Aloysius and Josephine Richards. She is also preceded in death by her sister, Rita Herbst and her husband, Charles Herbst. She is survived by her brother, Martin (Betty) Richards; nephews and nieces, Christopher Herbst, Gregory (Linda) Richards, Garrick (Pamela) Richards, Pamela (Russell) Thomas; great nephews and nieces, Jeffrey (Bethany), Matthew (Brittany), Lauren, Kendra and Cole Richards, Tyler and Brittany Thomas and several cousins; along with the family of Margarite’s deceased husband.
Margarite graduated from St. Aloysius Grade School and Holy Rosary High School. She worked as a secretary at Columbus + Southern Ohio Electric Co. for several years. She retired from Blue Cross/Blue Shield and also retired from The Ohio State University.
Margarite and her husband were formally members of the Bucks and Does Square Dance Club. They spent many years traveling to square dance conventions and club dances. They were lifelong dance partners. They were also involved in the “Young at Heart Group” at their church.
Calling hours will take place from 4PM-7PM on Monday, October 7th at Schoedinger Northeast Funeral Home, 1051 E Johnstown Rd.
A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10AM at Church of the Resurrection, 6300 E Dublin Granville Rd. Directly following Mass will be an interment at St. Joseph Cemetery in Lockbourne, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Margarite’s honor to the Church of the Resurrection.
