Lorra Tilson

Lorra Beth Tilson, known to most as Lori, passed away at home on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 24, 2022. She was surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Columbus, Ohio, on March 29, 1955, to the late Barbara and David Demarest.

Lori lit up every room she entered. She was loyal, supportive, and she was known for her engaging story telling. She was a loving wife, daughter, sister, and dear friend to many.

Lori worked for 30+ years as a Worker’s Compensation Hearing Representative and she loved to go on about those claimants, but she had a good heart and found the deserving ones.

Throughout her life, Lori enjoyed traveling with her family. She particularly enjoyed the many Caribbean islands she visited, with her favorite being Jamaica. Lori wished everyone to be decent to each other and take care of their speck of the planet.

In addition to her parents, Lori was preceded in death by her step-father William Johnston and father-in-law Ray Tilson.

She is survived by her husband, Ronald E. Tilson; their loyal dogs, Scout and Juno; her siblings, Shelly Willis, Stephanie (Tom) Hawkins, Andy Johnston; siblings-in-law Kevin Tilson, Doug Tilson, Kerry Tilson, Greg Tilson, and Julie Tilson; her mother-in-law Sylvia Tilson; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, December 15, 2022 at 12pm at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST FUNERAL HOME, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., Gahanna.
