In loving memory of Karen Sue Johnson, born on January 11, 1953, in Oregon and raised in New Albany, Ohio. Karen, the daughter of Kenneth and Norma Massie, graduated from Ohio Dominican University with a degree in criminology.
She dedicated many years of her life to serving as a parole officer for the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction until her retirement a few years ago. Karen’s vibrant spirit was evident in her active engagement with friends at the community center, where she enjoyed lunches, traveling, and embracing new experiences.
Karen, a tough and dedicated woman, was a loving mother to her children, Heather Johnson and Zach Johnson. Her world revolved around her cherished grandkids, Kyla, Kole, Stella and Barry. She will be fondly remembered for her resilience, lively nature, and unwavering commitment to family.
A celebration of Karen’s life will take place on February 11, 2024, from 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM at The Five Party and Event Center, located at 5316 N. Hamilton Rd., Gahanna, OH 43230.
