Judith (Judy) Neff, 82, of Westerville, Ohio, peacefully passed away on July 14, 2024, knowing that she was loved. She was born July 27, 1941, in Portsmouth, Ohio. A daughter to the late Max and Eileen Ferguson, of Athens, Ohio. In addition to her parents, Judy is preceded in death by her son, Randy Neff.
After raising her family in Dayton, Ohio and leading several community organizations, like Twigs of Dayton and the Huber Heights School Board, Judy had a decades long career in healthcare—patient advocacy and consulting. She finished her career as a sorority housemother at several universities across the country, including The Ohio State University and the University of Tennessee. She called several cities home as well, including Franklin, TN, Fairhope, AL, Naperville, IL, Treasure Island, FL, and Los Gatos, CA. She loved to decorate, shop, travel, spend time with her family, enjoy a good meal and a glass of Prosecco, and watch her grandkids do just about anything—swim, sing, run, and play baseball.
Judy is survived by her husband, Carl Berg; her son, Brad Neff, his wife, Catherine, and their children, Olivia (26), Lindsey (22) and Dylan (20); her daughter, Amy Neff, and her child, Annie (17); and her brother, Jim Ferguson and his children, Ashley, Eric and Sean.
A brief memorial service will take place at Schoedinger Northeast, 1051 East Johnstown Rd. Gahanna, Ohio 43230 on Thursday, July 25, 2024, at 4:30pm, followed by a visitation from 5:00-7:00pm. The family asks that attendees wear something with color, preferably not black, in celebration of Judy’s life.
