Jean Anne Dillon

Jean Anne Dillon, age 70 of Blacklick, peacefully passed away on Sunday, May 14, 2023. She was born November 14, 1952 in Salem, Ohio to the late James and Elizabeth (Dillon) Glenn. In addition to her parents, Jean is preceded in passing by brothers John Glenn and Harry Glenn, brother-in-law and sister Robert Sr. and Harriett Johnson, and brother-in-law and sister Andrew and Marion Lynn.

Jean enjoyed reading, watching the birds in her backyard, and taking cruises with her husband. Her favorite destinations were Italy, Scotland, Ireland, and Alaska and visiting the islands of the Caribbean. Jean is a 1974 graduate of the Ohio Valley School of Nursing and worked as a Registered Nurse for 47 years. In her free time, Jean loved shopping and searching sale racks for the best bargain.

Jean also faithfully served as a pastor’s wife for 44 years. She loved entertaining and often hosted guests for holidays and Sunday dinners. She loved having a house full of love and laughter from her friends and family. Jean is a lifelong member of the Church of the Nazarene and had a deep and abiding love for her Lord. She found the lost, the least, and the leftout and made them feel seen.

Jean is survived by her loving husband of 48 years Rev. William R. Dillon II, daughters Christina (Matthew) Steele and Courtney (Zachary) Olah both of Blacklick, OH, and Cassandra (Michael) Self of Columbia, TN. She is also survived by grandchildren Sydney and Weston Steele, Preston and Maren Olah, and William, Emmalin, and Lucas Self, sister Carolyn (Adrian) Halverstadt of Leetonia, OH, twin sister Jane (Larry) Barkley of Weirton, WV, sisters-in-law Millie and Dianna Glenn both of Lisbon, OH and many beloved extended family members.

A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at the Lisbon Church of the Nazarene 509 N. Market Street, Lisbon, OH beginning at 11:00am. The family will receive visitors for an hour before the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jean’s name to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
