Born in Struthers, Ohio, Janet’s first love was her family. She took care of her sick mother Eleanor and younger sister Judy during her teenage years before marrying Ron and starting her own family where she dedicated herself to raising three boys – Jeremy, Matt, and Tim.
Janet was a devoted wife and mother, but she especially loved being a grandmother. She and her husband Ron moved to Columbus nearly 20 years ago to be closer her grandkids. Over the years, she spent countless hours as ballfields, watching dance recitals, playing board games and video games, and doing arts and crafts with her three grandchildren.
She also dedicated herself to her job. Through her decades of work in the medical field, most recently at Orthopedic One, Janet constantly sought to move mountains to help her patients get access to the care they needed while building rapport and developing relationships with colleagues and customers along the way. She continued to serve others until just days before she passed.
Janet had incredible artistic abilities and loved to scrapbook before she got sick. She also never missed an opportunity to photograph a memory; between her and Ron, the family is blessed to have tens of thousands of pictures from moments big and small throughout the years.
Janet is preceded in death by her husband Ron; her father Daniel Norman, her mother Eleanor Norman, and two siblings – brother Richard and sister Judy. She is survived by her three sons Jeremy (Dawn), Matt (Michael), and Tim (Chris) along with three grandkids – Ava, Blake, and Elena.
