Ida Louise Lewis

Ida Louise Lewis, 75, of Groveport, passed away Saturday, May 27, 2023. She was born January 16, 1948 in Amherstdale, WV to the late Sammie and Mabel (Midkiff) Marcum. Louise was a graduate of South High School and later retired from Ohio Bell Telephone Company. Louise loved the little things in life, especially her family and her animals. Her love of animals was truly one of a kind. Her beloved poodles, Wiggles, Bella, Sammie and Maggie lit up her world. In her free time she enjoyed listening to music. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Jr. Marcum and her former husband, William O. “Bill” Lewis. Louise is survived by her son, William “Jason” (Julie Mason) Lewis of Canal Winchester; daughter, Jessica (Bryan) Kruse of Carroll; and Grandchildren; Malia (of Jason and Julie); Cloee, Gram, Asher, Silas, and Elias (of Jessica and Bryan). Her sister and lifelong best friend, Kay Penn; along with Aunt Juanita and Lanee---who made up their very own golden girls; along with many members of the community who stood behind her. Friends may gather at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST (1051 E. Johnstown Rd.) Saturday, June 3, 2023 from 1:00pm – 2:00pm. Memorial Service to begin at 2:00 pm. Louise will be remembered for her fiery one of a kind personality and the amount of love that she shared. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Humane Society.
