Estrella "Ester" A. Turiaga

Estrella has been a resident of Gahanna, Ohio, since 1992, was a member of St. Matthew the Apostle Catholic Church, and a member of both Philseco (Filipino organization) and BNP (Banal na Pagaaral -- a religious Filipino organization) in Columbus, Ohio.

“Ester,” as she was fondly known to family and friends, will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother, a confidant, and a loyal friend.

She is preceded in death by her parents Ireneo and Juanita Areglado and her husband, Juan S. Turiaga.

Estrella is survived by daughters Rosemarie (Steve) White and Grace Besabella; sons, Jaime (Rosalinda) Turiaga, Juan (Tracy) Turiaga, Jr., and Joselito Turiaga; 17 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; sisters, a brother-in-law, sisters-in law, nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Visitation will take place on Sunday, December 11 from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm at Schoedinger Northeast Funeral Home, 1051 E. Johnstown Road, Gahanna, OH 43230. Estrella’s Funeral Mass will be the following morning, December 12, at St. Matthew the Apostle Catholic Church, 807 Havens Corners Road, Gahanna, Ohio, beginning at 10:30am.
