Earlene Johnson, age 85, formerly of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, gained her angel wings on April 15th, 2024. She passed away peacefully at her assisted living facility in Canal Winchester, surrounded by her loving family.
Words overflow like a fount for Earlene, wife, mother, grandmother and friend who lived a beautifully fulfilling life from start to end.
She spent numerous years in the financial field and retired early to care for her ailing husband. She was a devout Christian and longtime member of the Eastside Grace Brethren Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir. She was an avid gardener, baker and loved to travel.
Most importantly, Earlene had a passion for her large family of two children, seven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. Her family was her life. There was never a day that went by that she didn't brag about her family.
Earlene was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Irene Doddroe and loving husband of 45 years, Robert C. Johnson.
She is survived by her sons, Mike (Bonnie) and Tim (Clare), her brother John (Maxine) Doddroe, all of her grandchildren, Cherri, Traci, Jennifer, Jackie, Steven, Jamie and JD, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
“Mom, you are already deeply missed.”
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that charitable contributions be made in Earlene's memory to Alzheimer's research or to East Side Grace Brethren Church.
Friends and family will be received from 4PM-6PM on Sunday, April 21 at Schoedinger Northeast, 1051 East Johnstown Road, Gahanna, OH 43230. A funeral service will be held the next morning, Monday, April 22 at 10AM at Schoedinger Northeast with interment at Mifflin Cemetery, next to her beloved husband, to immediately follow.
After the burial, a luncheon will be held in Earlene's honor at East Side Grace Brethren Church, 7510 E Broad Street, Blacklick, OH 43004.
