Debra "Debbie" Kindoll, age 68, of Blacklick, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 4, 2025 at Otterbein of Gahanna with her daughter by her side. Though residing in Blacklick at the time of her passing, Debbie was a longtime resident of Lebanon, Ohio, where she lived for 60 years.
Debbie was born on November 2, 1956 to Robert and Janet (Reif) Saltsgaver. She was a graduate of Lebanon High School. Throughout her life, she embraced various roles. For many years, she was a homemaker and an integral part of her first husband's concrete business. Later, she enjoyed a 20-year career in retail, where her friendly demeanor made her a favorite among customers and colleagues alike. In her retirement, Debbie found joy in dedicating her time to her beloved grandchildren.
Debbie loved animals, gardening, and the outdoors. She was an avid hunter, fisher, and mushroom hunter. Debbie was also a talented cook, known for her delicious meals and the joy she found in preparing them for others. Above all, she cherished spending time with her family and friends. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and she delighted in spoiling them.
Debbie was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Kindoll; her parents, Robert and Janet (Reif) Saltsgaver; and her sister, Pamela Sewell.
She is survived by her loving daughters, Valerie (Chad) Schwinnen and Johnna (Rob) Okum; her cherished grandchildren, Maya and Alex Schwinnen; her brother, Robert Saltsgaver, and many other family and friends.
A memorial reception will be held on Friday, April 18, 2025 from 5-7 PM at the Oswald-Hoskins Funeral Home, 329 E. Mulberry St., Lebanon, Ohio 45036.
