Claude C Davis was a caring husband, father, stepfather, grandfather, brother, and friend. With his family by his side, Claude passed away peacefully on February 8, 2025, at the age of 87. He was born October 27, 1937, in Stone, Kentucky.
The simple pleasures in life brought joy to Claude. He loved any time spent with family and watching the Buckeyes and Bengals. He was very generous and would help almost anyone in need. Claude was an avid deer hunter, shared his love and knowledge of the sport with his son and grandsons and hunted well into his 80s. He was also incredibly proud of his “Robin Hood” skill at splitting arrows with other arrows.
Claude is survived by his brother Glenn (Paulette) Davis, children Nickie (Tony) Perez and Stephen “Todd” Davis, stepchildren; Mark (Carol) Nicholas, Ray Nicholas, Laina Sanders and Karen (Tim) Rorabaugh, Eve Helenberger, 17 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and his faithful 4-legged companion, Major.
He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Geraldine “Jeri” (Holycross), his parents Fannie and Charlie Sr, brothers Forrest, Charlie Jr, Dean and Don and sister Phyllis.
Friends may gather at Schoedinger Margarum Northeast, on Wednesday, February 19th, from 5PM to 7PM. The funeral service will take place the following day, February 20th, at Noon, with Pastor Marty Ertel officiating. A short graveside service at Riverside Cemetery will follow.
Please Note: If sending flowers, due to family allergies, please request florists remove lilies from all arrangements.
