Christine Ratliff

Christine Ratliff, 84, of New Albany, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 20, 2024. She was born February 24, 1940, in Hellier, Kentucky to the late John Bill and Stella (Coleman) Mays. Christine is a graduate of Hellier High School, Class of 1958. Shortly after high school graduation, she married Ronald Ratliff, the love of her life and husband of 63 years. Ronald and Christine briefly resided in Lexington, Kentucky, before relocating to Central Ohio in 1963. She and Ronald made a loving home in New Albany, where they lived together for over 50 years.

In addition to her parents, Christine was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ronald Ratliff; her daughter, Susan Michele Ratliff, and sisters, Lavon Brehm and Doris Swick. She will be deeply missed by her daughters, Marsha Ratliff and Elizabeth (Liz) Ratliff; grandchildren, Amanda Tapocik, and Brandon, Ryan, and Michael Weilbacher; great-granddaughter, Kenzie Weilbacher; and siblings, Don Mays, Betty Lou Lewis, and Scottie Mays. A woman of deep faith, Christine was a longtime member of Franklin Church in New Albany.

Visitation will be held Thursday, April 25, 2024, from 5-7pm at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST FUNERAL HOME, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., Gahanna. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, April 26, at 11am, also at the funeral home. Interment will be held privately.
