On November 7, 2023 Carol Jean Wallace passed away peacefully at home. She was 86 years old. Carol was born on December 19, 1936 in Willoughby, Ohio. Carol was the daughter of the late Harry and Jean Kresse.
Carol was preceded by her husband Gilbert Wallace, her brother Kenneth Kresse and two son-in-laws, Thomas Richardson and Anthony Iacobone.
Carol is survived by her brothers, Harry Kresse of California and Robert Kresse of Ohio. Carol was a loving mother of 3 children, Linda Iacobone, Diane Richardson and John Wallace. She was very proud of her grandchildren and great grandchildren and cherished the family get togethers. Carol had 4 grandchildren; Martina (Anthony) Puleio, Jessica (Jason) Ellsesser, Matthew Iacobone and Nicole Richardson. She had 8 precious great grandchildren; Alessia, Nicolas and Luca Puleio; Riley, Emily and Jamie Ellsesser; Charlie and Allison Gieseck. Carol is survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Carol had a passion for Yorkshire terriers; her first was Crystal who has since passed. Carol is survived by her faithful and adoring Yorkie named Cocoa.
Carol was a graduate of West High School and had many jobs including; secretarial work for E-Z Flo Chemical Company and working for the Upper Arlington City School System. After retirement from the School system, Carol was a top salesperson for Highlights For Children as well as a co-owner with the late Vincent Primavera of Early Days Antiques and Collectables.
Carol had many passions including sea shell craft, ceramics, upholstering, jewelry making and traveling. Carol enjoyed taking her late mother, Jean to play Bingo. She continued to enjoy the game with her son, John. He took her to several Bingo halls where she made many friends. Carol always felt lucky when she went to the Casino with her daughter, Linda and she enjoyed holiday baking with her youngest daughter, Diane.
Friends may gather at Schoedinger Worthington, 6699 N High St. on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 from 10AM-11AM. Memorial Service to begin at 11AM.
The children of Carol Wallace would like to thank the many aides, nurses and social workers that took special care of their mother throughout the past several months. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Capital City Hospice.
