She attended Northfork Elkhorn High School and Spanishburg High School, graduating in 1957, and she was a graduate of Bluefield Business College, class of 1959.
Anna Belle married Thomas H. Murray in 1957. They settled in Columbus, Ohio, where they had one child, David D. Murray.
Anna Belle was a longtime employee of John Gelach & Company and Lancaster Colony Commercial Products. She was the family historian, an avid canasta player, and most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her beloved grandchildren, relatives, and friends.
Anna Belle was predeceased by her husband, Thomas, parents, Gay A. and L. Josephine (Womack) Goad, and great granddaughter, Reagan Comer. She is survived by her son, David Murray, and his wife, Debbie, brother, John Daniel (Dan) Goad Sr. and his wife, Gay, grandchildren, Douglas Comer, Ian Murray, Robin Murray, Brenna Murray, Graeme Classen, Quinn Classen, Brigid Murray, and great-grandchildren, Kevin Frazer, Josiah Holmes, Kannon Comer, and Kennedy Comer.
A memorial service for Anna Belle will be held on Sunday, December 11, 2022, at 11:00 am, at Schoedinger Margarum Northeast, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., Gahanna, OH 43230. The service will be followed by a luncheon at 450 Beecher Rd. Columbus, OH 43230. A graveside service will be held in Milton, West Virginia at a later date to be determined.
