After retiring from a career related to commercial finance and property management Ann opened a small gift shop in the heart of Gahanna that she named, “Doll House.” There she sold Boyd’s Bears, Beanie Babies, rare and valuable dolls as well as other collectable items. She had that shop for 20 years. Those 20 years brought her so much joy and happiness, most of which came from the relationships she made with her customers. Most of her customers became dear friends that she stayed in contact with for the rest of her life. Ann was a creative person who enjoyed crafting, gardening, sewing and cooking.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson, David Anthony Miller.
She is survived by her three children, Lori Hicks, David (Teresa) Miller, and Douglas (Val) Miller; grandchildren, Jennifer (Dan) Bender, Emily (Kevin) Crowley; Jordan (Kenisa) Miller, Danny (Alyssa) Hicks, Brittney Miller, Tyler (Nicole) Hicks, and Drew Miller; great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Hanna, Conley, Jack, Cason, Madelyn, Mackenzie, Benjamin, Athena, and Azelie.
A special thank you and God Bless to Daria, Shalanda and Mike from Hospice of Central Ohio and to Mike W from the Jefferson Township Fire Department who provided amazing support, care and comfort over the past year! They went above and beyond the normal call of duty.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 8, 2022 from 4pm to 6pm at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST FUNERAL HOME, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., Gahanna. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Ann’s name to, “Hospice of Central Ohio.”
