Tim Patrick Hudak was an amazingly generous man who was dearly loved by his family and host of friends. Tim was born on January 29, 1954 in Rocky River, Ohio. He moved to Gadsden, AL in the 3rd grade when his father was transferred with the steel plant. He graduated from Gadsden High School in 1972. He then attended Calhoun Junior College on a baseball scholarship, and was later recruited to Birmingham Southern College as a left-handed pitcher. Tim left Birmingham Southern to return to Gadsden to care for his parents. Tim was a true entrepreneur, establishing a successful paint contracting company, followed by Hudak Hardware and Paint Supply Company. In 1994, he founded Hudak Construction Company, building many new construction buildings and renovations across the Southeast. He was the hardest worker you would ever meet. To the very day of his passing, he was especially grateful for all of his employees. He loved to collect antique cars. Tim was committed to his Christian faith, and was an active member in his church, New Beginning Community Church.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Jeff Hudak; and his parents, Paul and Pauline Patrick Hudak.
Tim is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Janis Roberts Hudak; his son, Ross Hudak (Jessica); his daughter, Claire Hudak Wigley (Casey); and his beloved grandchildren, Reid Elam, Miller Patrick Wigley, Reece Elam, Laney Claire Wigley, Camille Wigley, and Leyton Hudak. He leaves behind special friends Gary Ashley, Steve Clay, Evan Edge, Steve Sametz, Jody Chorba, Mike Dawson, Jimmy Walker, Travis Atkins, William Ridgeway, Bob Swann, Jim Wilson, David Geer, and Craig Marble.
The family will receive friends and loved ones at New Beginning Community Church on January 30th with visitation from 11:00AM-1:00PM, with the service immediately following. In lieu of flowers, please send memorials to New Beginning Community Church.
