Susan Belinda Phillips

She was 73 years old.

Susan was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph “Joe” Allen Phillips, who died during the automobile accident mentioned above.

She is survived by her two sons Joseph (Joey) Allen Phillips, Jr., and his wife Glenda and Christopher (Chris) Allen Phillips and his wife Virginia. She is also survived by four grandchildren Kate (Katie) Parrish and her husband Dakota, Ty Phillips and his wife Ana, Benjamin Phillips, Piper Celeste Phillips, six great-grandchildren Paris, Rowan, and Knox Seay, William and Wyatt Parrish, Waylon Phillips, sister Catherine “Cathy” Betz Green, her brother Buster Betz and his wife Lane, nieces Lynn Green McGlaughn and husband Butch, Carrie Green Gamblin and husband Jay, Paula Wood Reynolds, Pamela Wood Cash and her husband Greg, Patti Wood Barnes, great-niece Allison McGlaughn, her beloved friend Jennifer Knight, and many other friends.

Susan was a faithful Christian. Joe, her husband of 51 years, was the love of her life. Her greatest earthly treasures were her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She loved with a gentle ferocity that sustained and supported any who were blessed to be loved by her. She will be missed by all who knew her.

A funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at Collier-Butler Funeral Chapel. Visitation will precede the service from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. Interment will be at Rainbow Memorial Gardens.
