Stella Copeland Gregory

Funeral service will be 1pm Thursday December 28, at Collier Butler Chapel for Stella Copeland Gregory, age 91, formerly of East Gadsden, who passed away on December 25, 2017. Rev. Charles Smith, Rev. Michael Gregory, and Rev. Mark Gregory will officiate and Soloist Tracy Calhoun will provide the music. Burial will be at Crestwood Cemetery. Collier Butler Funeral Home will direct services.

Mrs. Gregory was a faithful worker and longtime member of Paden Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Dewey and Keith Copeland; husband Erskine W. Gregory, Sr; brothers, Billy and Arnold Copeland, and sister Sarah Appling.

She is survived by her children Sandra (Larry) Blackwell, Janice (Kenny) Flowers, Erskine “Greg” (Becky) Gregory, Jr., Doug (Beverly) Gregory and Al (Teresa) Gregory; Grandchildren Brent Blackwell, Kyle (Amanda) Blackwell, Lane (Tami) Blackwell, Corey Flowers, Leslie (Matt) Jackson, Matt (Suzanne) Gregory, Michael (Beth) Gregory, Mark (Holley) Gregory, Leigh (Scott) Banks, Tracy (Matthew) Calhoun, Drue (Beth) Gregory, Reid Gregory, and Nathan Teal; 25 Great Grandchildren; sisters in law Barbara Marshall and Doris Copeland; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Paden Baptist Church General Fund.

The family would like to express their appreciation to Brad and Kim Arledge and the staff of Mountain Cove Assisted living for the excellent and professional care the provided to our mother.

Visitation will be from 11:30 until the hour of service.
