Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 5, 2022 at St. James Catholic Church for Mr. Roy James “Jim” McAdams, 77, of Gadsden who passed away Wednesday, February 2, 2022. Father Jose Chacko will officiate with burial to follow at Rainbow Memorial Gardens with military honors.
Arrangements are under the direction of Collier-Butler Funeral & Cremation Services.
Mr. McAdams was born July 8, 1944 in Missouri to Roy O. McAdams and Leona McAdams Pruessner. He was retired from the US Air Force traveling abroad during his career. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church and enjoyed antique model cars and was an avid reader.
Preceding him in death was his parents, Roy O. McAdams and mother Leona McAdams Pruessner; daughter, Sandra McAdams Johnson and step father, Leroy Pruessner.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 56 years, Mrs. Patricia Nichols McAdams; children, Susie (Ricky) Graham, Chris (Charity) McAdams and Cindy McAdams Kilgo; grandchildren, Stephanie Davidson, Rachael Graham Jackson, Shelby Graham, Madalyn Bowen, Johnny Kilgo, Matthew Johnson, Shelby Galloway, Ethan Johnson, Christopher McAdams, Keira Johnson and Nicholas McAdams; great grandchildren, Brady Henson, Jaxon Graham, Hailynn Hightower, Bentley Bowen, Phoenix Graham and Memphis Bowen; sisters, Kathryn McAdams and Mary (Dennis) Fricke and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be, Chris McAdams, Ricky Graham, Johnny Kilgo, Christopher McAdams, Nicholas McAdams and Brady Henson.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to St. James Catholic School, 511 Ewing Avenue, Gadsden, AL 35901 in Mr. McAdams Memory.
The family would like to extend special thanks to the nurses and staff of the CCU and Step Down Unit at Riverview Regional Medical Center. Heartfelt gratitude is extended to Nurse Tonya Miller.
